YARDNER TRANSFORMATIONS
Our Projects Portfolio
Every garden tells a story and these are some of the ones we're proud to have written, in collaboration with Adelaide families.
Outcomes
The garden your home deserves
Across Adelaide’s most sought-after neighbourhoods – from the leafy eastern suburbs to the beachside streets of Glenelg and the elevated Hills acreages of Stirling – Yardner has quietly become the name behind some of the city’s most striking residential gardens.
These aren’t show gardens. They’re lived-in spaces. Morning coffee spots. After-school play zones. Sunday afternoon escapes. We design and build them to be beautiful on day one – and better every season after that.

Plant Health
Why is plant health so important?
At Yardner, we believe that the right plants make all the difference – which is why every plant we use is carefully handpicked for quality, suitability, and long-term performance. We consider factors like growth habit, size at maturity, colour, texture, and seasonal interest to create gardens that are visually striking year-round.
We work closely with trusted suppliers and local growers, building strong relationships that allow us to source the healthiest plants available. From seedlings to more established specimens, we select varieties that are proven to thrive in your climate and soil conditions. This ensures your garden develops quickly and maintains its beauty over time.
Plant health is a top priority. Each plant is inspected for robust roots, strong foliage, and resistance to pests and disease. We also ensure plants are suited to your specific site conditions, including sun exposure, drainage, and microclimate factors, giving them the best chance to flourish with minimal ongoing maintenance.
By combining variety, maturity, and health, we deliver gardens that are not only immediately attractive but continue to grow stronger and more resilient season after season. Our approach ensures your garden is full of life, vibrancy, and longevity – creating an outdoor space you can enjoy for years to come.
Project Highlight
GOOLWA BEACH
The Holiday Home
The Brief: A substantial coastal residence at Goolwa Beach, owned as a holiday home and intended for the family to enjoy without the weeks of upkeep an ordinary garden demands. The grounds came to us bare: no garden, no landscape structure, no planting of any kind, with weeds across the site and rocks and debris remaining from construction. A blank canvas in the truest sense. The owners wanted more than a finished design. They wanted a garden that felt established from the day it was handed over, ready to be lived in rather than waited on.
The Process: We took the project from concept through to completion, designing every element of the garden against the conditions of an exposed coastal site in southern South Australia. Plants were selected to withstand wind, salt, and seasonal extremes while remaining low in maintenance. To meet the owners’ wish for immediate presence, we sourced significant mature stock. Hedging trees were planted at over three metres, and feature trees were brought in at comparable scale, sparing the years a young garden would otherwise need to find its form.
The works extended well beyond planting. More than 250 square metres of lush lawn was laid across the property, supported by full irrigation. Creative garden beds and considered paths were designed to draw the eye through the grounds, and an outdoor seating and fire pit area was integrated as a natural extension of the home. We curated pot arrangements for the balcony and the entrance, including trio sets that introduced presence and proportion.
The Outcome: A garden that arrived mature, considered in every detail, and ready to be enjoyed from the first weekend the family returned. No stone was left unturned. The design carries the home it surrounds, performs without daily attention, and continues to grow into itself with each passing season.
