The garden your home deserves
Yardner is an Adelaide landscaping and garden design studio. We transform established gardens that have lost their structure into low-maintenance outdoor spaces, designed around your home and Adelaide's climate.
A Yardner makeover begins with what is already there: cleared of what no longer belongs, refined, replanted with intent, and finished to the last detail. On a new build, we start from the bare block instead and design the whole garden from scratch. Projects run from $10,000 to $150,000+, across Adelaide's eastern suburbs, inner city, and the coast.
- Garden design and landscaping for established Adelaide gardens and new builds alike, built low-maintenance.
- A specialist crew runs every stage, from design to final planting.
- A Walkerville pre-sale makeover helped a home sell $150,000+ over expectations.

Landscaping and garden services across Adelaide
Every Yardner project draws on the same in-house disciplines, so the design, the planting, and the finishing all answer to one plan. Explore each service below.
A makeover, not a bulldoze and start again
Plenty of landscapers start by clearing an established garden to bare earth. A Yardner makeover does the opposite: we keep what is working, remove what is not, and design the rest around it. That is faster, costs less, and respects the established trees and structure a mature Adelaide garden already has.
Homeowners ready to bring an established garden up to the standard of the house in front of it.
Owners preparing a home for sale who want the garden to add to the result, not detract from it.
Established gardens where the original design has been outgrown and needs a considered reset.
Owners of new builds and new homes, handed a bare block that needs the whole garden designed and built from scratch.

New build? We build the whole garden from scratch
A new home is handed back as a bare block: compacted clay, builder's sand and rubble, no topsoil worth planting into, and nothing between you and the neighbours. Yardner designs and builds the entire garden from that starting point.
Whether your garden is 30 years old or 30 days old, it is the same crew, the same design process, and the same finish. On a new build there is simply nothing to keep, so every layer gets built: levels, drainage, soil, edging, irrigation, lawn, screening, and the planting that stops a brand-new house looking raw.
- Full garden design and build from a bare new-build block.
- Mature feature trees sourced through our trade network, so a new home does not look new.
- Front gardens built first where an estate or council deadline applies.
A garden is the highest-returning improvement most homes have left
10-20%
Well-designed landscaping lifts a property's value by 10 to 20 percent.
Up to $3
Landscaping returns up to $3 for every $1 spent, among the highest-returning of all home improvements.
Up to 30%
A well-presented garden lifts buyer interest by up to 30 percent at sale.
The numbers are the easy part to point at. The real return is the version of your home you get to live in every day.

The garden that sold the house
The owners came to Yardner with a neglected pre-sale yard: patchy lawn, overgrown beds, and no structure holding the property back. We introduced premium turf, climate-suited plants, mature trees, and clean-lined pathways, and built a low-maintenance space that changed the property's presentation instantly.
$150,000+ over expectations
The home sold off-market, and the vendors credited the garden as a key part of that result.

Call 0405 306 789How much does a garden makeover cost in Adelaide?
Most Yardner projects start from around $10,000 and run up to $150,000+ for larger or more complex transformations. Cost depends on the size of the space, the plants and materials, and the scope of work. We ask about your budget early, in the enquiry form and again at consultation, so the project is scoped to put every dollar where it counts.
What's included in a Yardner garden makeover?
Every makeover is tailored to your space and budget. Typical works include a custom design, plant selection, garden clearing, pruning, weeding, fresh planting, and mulching, with rubbish removal arranged where required. We can also coordinate styling touches like pots, lighting, and outdoor furniture, or bring in other trades as needed.
Do you work on new builds and new homes?
Yes. A new home is usually handed back as a bare block: compacted clay, builder's sand and rubble, no topsoil worth planting into, and nothing between you and the neighbours. Yardner designs and builds the whole garden from that starting point, including levels, drainage, soil, edging, irrigation, lawn, screening, and the mature planting that stops a brand-new house looking raw. Established garden or bare block, it is the same crew and the same design process.
Can I request specific plants or features?
Yes. If there are plants, colours, or styles you love, whether a native garden, a Mediterranean look, a privacy hedge, or a feature magnolia by the front door, tell us at your design consult. We work your wishlist into the plan where it suits the space and Adelaide's climate, and suggest alternatives for anything unlikely to thrive here.
How long does a garden makeover take?
It depends on size and scope. Smaller projects wrap up in a couple of days; larger transformations run for several weeks or more. Timelines are agreed up-front, and we can phase bigger projects to suit your schedule or budget. Working to an open home or event? Tell us and we plan around it.
How do I get a quote?
Request a consultation through the website with some detail about your project and budget. We then arrange a time to walk through the space together and put together a tailored plan with clear pricing.
Which Adelaide suburbs do you service?
Yardner primarily services Adelaide's metropolitan suburbs, and we consider work beyond the metro on a project-by-project basis. Outside the metro area? Get in touch, we'd love to hear about your project.
Do I need to be home during the makeover?
Not for the on-site work, as long as the crew has access to the garden and water. We do recommend being present for the design consult, and reachable by phone during key stages for any quick decisions. Many clients prefer to come home to a finished garden.
Do you remove green waste and leave the site clean?
Where green waste removal is required, it is included in your proposal. Either way, we always leave your property clean and tidy at the end of every job.
